Luc Holper (b. 1962, Luxembourg) is a photographic artist based in Luxembourg. Working primarily in the studio, he uses blur, abstraction, and vivid colour to create images that move between the recognisable and the imagined.
His practice explores contemporary social and personal experience through the interplay of form, colour, and ambiguity. In series including Memento (2023), Digital Isolation (2024), Melting Pot (2024), Escape (2024), and Wonderful Conversations (2025), abstraction becomes a means of addressing themes of memory, isolation, identity, and human connection.
Luc has exhibited at the Salon du CAL in Luxembourg (2022, 2024, and 2025), the Exposition Printemps du CAL (2023), and Galerie Spéos in Paris (2024). His work is held in private collections and has received international recognition, including third prize in the Professional Abstract category at the 2024 Fine Art Photography Awards, as well as honourable mentions at the Annual Photography Awards and the Neutral Density Photography Awards.
